I’m hugely disappointed to know it’s Turn Based only, I played Kingmaker and WotR in RTwP mode and loved both of them, TB just isn’t appealing at all.

But beyond that one of the biggest issues with WotR was that because it let you play as any alignment and all the various Mythic Paths, the story buckled and frayed trying to make sense of it.

Iomedae and Galfrey letting you go as far as you did, on the Demon or Lich paths just feels like they were pushed out of the plot for convenience reasons. Angel feels so much better than every other Path because it intersects perfectly with the lore and tone.

I can’t help but worry that the idea of being able to fall to Chaos will cause the same issue here. Characters that should be observant to nip that kinda thing in the bud forcefully just going along as your character gets increasingly corrupted until you openly betray them… I can’t see a SoB, SM or Inquisitor being so reckless with someone in command making increasingly heretical decisions.

I really like how every scene showcasing the different enemies and allies makes you wonder who they’re talking about. It’s easy to think that with this trailer they’re just pointing out the kinds of enemies you’ll be facing but it also does so by putting specific companions under each frame. The sister of battle is also an obsessed zealot, the Eldar Pathfinder is also a treacherous Xenos, the Psyker is also a warp spawned horror.
