You can use neem oil ( Azadirachta indica oil ) for chicken mite....

that can work on small flock..but in large scale poultry farming tough to use garlic..

I know this it works very well, but the fact is that the mite are not dying but they stay out of it., It's still helpful

I’m afraid to use DE again. I put DE in their sand bath area a years ago. A few weeks later I had bald birds. I have 6 birds that have not grown them back nor their tail feathers. 😢
They are healthy and good layers. But I can only think the DE many have burnt them ???? Is there any other reason this would have happened? If it was molt they should have grown feathers back. It’s been a year.

I have all these essential oils except for cinnamon. I have organic good quality cinnamon, will this work if I add this, or do I need actual essential oil for the cinnamon. Thank you

Pouring hot water inside wherever mites are there can kill these mites. You may apply medicine for the wounds on the birds, because they are just wounds created by the mites by biting the chicken

Just did battle with these little bastards. Trust me, the BEST treatment plan is Elector PSP. It’s a bit pricey, but it works quick and kills anything ectoparasite on chickens. If you can’t afford Elector, is Permethrin. You can’t really spray permethrin on birds at the mixing rate needed for mites, but it works well when treatment is complimentary to good coop sanitation .
