I'd honestly been looking for something like this for a while. Like how isn't there a documentary with a billions views about the most amazing technological development in the history of humanity? Just thinking that between 1993 and 2003 typical RAM went from 8MB to 8GB, i.e. 1000-fold increase is mindblowing, for some reason not dramatic enough for popular science.

No mention about the invention of the
First generation: vacuum tubes.
Second generation: transistors.
Current generation: integrated circuit.
Thank me later

The Turing machine was a theoretical concept developed by Turing that provided the theoretical underpinnings for computing. The device used to crack the enigma code in ww2 was assisted by Turing but was a different thing.

Very nice and informative video (nice editing!).

I must add that the machine Alan Turing and his team made to crack Enigma wasn't called "Turing Machine" (not sure if it had a name) and was confidential information that wasn't made public until the 70s. A Turing Machine is actually a theoretical concept used in computational theory.

hi uhmmm I'm just a kid but I have a question are this are the old computer invention like ex abacus's?

@minecylium The turing machin is rather a concept than a device... And the first computer was made early on during the late 19th century...
