Audi A3 instrument cluster not working

I had this problem with my 2007 Audi A3 after not driving it for several days.
I spent 6 hours trying to figure out the problem and fix it.

This was a great help! Had the same problem with an Audi A4 Cabrio 2005 (B7). Hadn't driven it for 2 weeks. Instruments, ventilation, airco and indicators weren't working. Checked the fuses, then began to suspect the relays. Luckily found this video on YouTube, drove my Audi on the motorway and then the problem was solved. Thanks for uploading the video.

This will reoccur sooner rather than later, the issue is dry soldered joints on the pcb where the blue plug is, quite tricky to rectify but it's doable if your handy with a soldering iron. Companies will charge around £300 to do this.

That was a weird one, what I normaly do in situations like that is disconnect the battery for 5 min and touch the negative cable and positive cable of the car togheter or even leave the a consumer on like the lights to get rid of residual current . Battery's are known to cause a lot of trouble sometimes so make sure you charge it if you have not driven the car for some time.

Look at 'Cluster processor failure' if you're still experiencing issues. My clusters are completely dead and that's the problem for me

How fast was the dash back up working after the run out? Just come off holiday and have the same problem.. just done a 40-50 mile drive, so hoping it’ll work!
