We got a scenic. Just to use round town/ never long distance. Long Range battery. Always charged at home. Because it was £250 a month on lease including servicing. And only £1500 down.

Nothing could get close to those prices.

We actually love it.

I was EXACTLY hesitating with this exact model os Scenic and the ID.4.
I chose ID.4 for comfort and noise.
But interior wise, SCENIC is 200% better
Quality build: SCENIC 200% better
Materials : SCENIC 200% better

Conclusion: Best of both worlds would be Skoda ENYAQ. But wait is SOOOO long to get delivery.

Front wheel drive is far more safe. Reason is that when you have for instant large water spots on the road, the front wheels may loose contact with the road and while the rear wheels keep pushing the car moves uncontrollable. With front wheel drive the car holds his line. Rear wheel drive old fashioned conservative german construction.

To be honest, there are really only a few models that can compete with ID cars in thier particular segments

I tested them both today for shorter periods, the whole family said the Scenic felt more modern, but the ID.4 is a bit more comfortable when driving.
Older ID.4s without heat pump would be no contest in northern Sweden, but now we are considering it.

The Scenic is simply the best family EV at the moment. Sure it has some flaws, like all brands. But you get a huge spacious car with many features and a huge battery. Tesla has no real sensors and that’s top annoying. VW interior sucks but the hardware is very good. The looks of the Scenic are next level. I don’t think there is a better value for money car at the moment.

In Holland, the Scenic Iconic with the big battery and all options is only €52k! If I spec the ID.4 similarly it's way more expensive.

If u cant charge at home, then 22kw AC charging is the deal breaker here. Especially around commie blocks in eastern europe hehe.... But jokes aside, why so few evs in this price range have 22kw AC?

Maybe you were in eco mode when you were entering in the ID.4 and started heating? I don't have that problem, in couple of minutes I already turn off seat and steering wheel heating.

If a BEV is designed to be a BEV in the first place, like the ID, the weight balance front/rear ist perfect. That eliminates the snow advantage for FWD, and actually, uphill on snowy roads, RWD of a balanced car is better.
There is a video of a swiss guy driving a Kona and ID.3 up a snow covered street uphill, that rwd ID.3 actually blew the FWD away, it was MUCH MUCH better on snow.

I would not buy a FWD BEV. It's just worse in ever way.

I like everything about the RENAULT ... except the fact that it doesn't offer ...4x4 option ... why buy an SUV like body if you don't have 4x4.

Drove the id4 pro and the ride comfort is not its strong point; not sporty and not very comfortable at the same time. Bad on speedbumps. Better on the highway then in town.
Interior is very average/boring; nothing to complain about but nothing interesting.
After those few weeks id4 I was happy to go back to my 23 Karoq... Not what I expected...

I might pick the Scenic

But i'll certainly pick the made in EU car with the best consumption, charging network, space, acceleration, software for its price
So i'll get the Tesla model Y.
