I just wish that I was bright enough to follow it instantly without the need for the expert to be looking over my shoulder clarifying it all as it plays. Lots of references to 3 space then, maybe someone familiar with the subject could inform me if the difficulties remain in 4 space, or 5 space, or 792 space ? TIA.

The notion that spin magnetic moment is a fixed direction in space is problematic. Why can't there be some time-varying precession and/or nutation, due to local environmental influences? (See, for example, Larmor Precession.) And as soon as you admit a time-varying term in the model for the presumptive hidden variable, that throws a giant monkey wrench into Bell's derivation. In particular, timekeeping is local (due to gravitational gradients). So, among other environmental influences, we have that time itself is the not-so-hidden variable, and the time-varying components of the hidden variable do not maintain precise phase-locked synchrony. Instead of the hidden variable vanishing, there is a residual non-zero "beat frequency" term that would arise if Bell had used a gravitational path integral, so as to account for differential timekeeping.
