I don't see why everybody brags about the automatic transmission on any bike, shifting is half the fun of the ride.

"and when you're pounding a trail full of rocks, ruts and ledges; do you really wanna have to be shifting?"

well...yeah actually I do...

How about before blasting Honda, let Honda make a Yamaha vs Honda video. Let's see the outcome of that.

The main difference is when the Yamaha is broken the Honda  will still be going.

I have always owned a honda atv, until I bought a can am Outlander 650 and my old 300 fourtrax 4x4 would out do my can am any day, may not have the wheel speed but the reliability is by far the best. Go HONDA

Yeah seeing as how this is from "YamahaMotorUSA" this couldn't have ANY bias at I'll take a manual foot shift Honda over a boxy as hell Yamaha any day.

"Which one would you rather be riding?" Id rather be riding the rancher.

I have both of these ATV's, and will attest that this video was accurate in its comparisons. Of course, being an advertisement, it leaves out the benefits of the rancher, like the extreme dependability, stability, and general toughness. I love both wheelers, but prefer the grizzly on the rocky terrain. I like the rancher better for pulling stuff around.

This is so biased, Honda has the most reliability.

I'm good with my 1989 Honda fourtrax. Tough as hell. Honda is the best for me.

yamaha has and always will be my favorite brand, but I just gotta point something out... why did this guy say the Honda has no high/low range gears? In esp mode, 1st gear = low range 3rd gear and above =high range

i once was an avid YAMAHA rider to the bone! sent my Grizzly into the service shop 4 years ago and they gave me a HONDA to use for that day and I never gave it back! HONDA is a WONDER!

The high and low on a Honda comes from what gear you put it in and with putting it in reverse you can easily do it with one hand without having to let go of the handlebars

I had a 98 Fourtrax 300 4x4 until I sold it just last week. In 15+ years I had ZERO mechanical issues. It was used hard but not abused. My friend had a Yamaha, similar in size and power. We had numerous contests to see who could get through the nastiest mud, over the biggest deadfall, etc. I won EVERY time. His died several years ago. My Honda is still going strong with it's new owner and I'm picking up my new 2013 Rancher this week.

Yamaha still has a belt. Honda has real gears. Yamaha will fail always. Plus on a Yamaha you have to take your hand off of the handle bar to switch from forward to reverse. Not on a Honda, hands always on the handle bars
