Joining us in this Crisis What Crisis? clip is Professor Robert Winston – scientist, author, broadcaster and politician. Devoting much of his adult life to the crisis of infertility – IVF pioneer Lord Winston is that rare breed … a scientist who can speak fluent human.

“We didn't invent the health service, you didn't invent the health service, but it's there and we've got to find some way of making it work. And therefore, once we've done that, the next thing is to say, look, this is GDP, or whatever you like to measure, and this is how much we can afford to spend of GDP, on health. There's going to be a gap. How do we fund that gap and what do we do about it?”
