The Wolf OR-7 Expedition team retraced by bicycle and on foot the approximate route taken by a GPS - collared wolf called Wolf OR-7. The wolf was born in NE Oregon and in 2011 left his pack and dispersed South to find new territory. He became the first known wolf in California in nearly 90 years, and he is still out there...

Follow six adventurers as they retrace the route taken by a GPS-collared Oregon wolf. Their mission is to explore human-wolf coexistence and meet the people along Wolf OR-7's route who now find themselves in wolf country.

Thank you for this movie! I live just outside Ashland, Oregon. I've my own small "pack", all Alaskan Malamutes, and one of our regular adventures are day hikes, and the occasional weekend camp-out in the Siskiyou Mountains...all the time knowing OR-7 might be close-by. Full moon camp outs I always get the "Mals" to do sing-alongs, lifting our heads to howl into the night...my silent prayers go out to OR-7, and his pack that they continue to roam these amazing mountains undisturbed by man. Here it is 2019 almost 2020 and as far as anyone knows OR-7 is still alive up there somewhere in the Siskiyou's! my Brother. Aho!

I am truly blessed. I thought I would never see wolves in Oregon! Well I have seen them and they are amazing. What’s incredible is that OR-7 and his mate have made their home/den in basically my backyard
WOOHOO!!! I see them at least once a week from a distance and I never try to interact with them because 1 they’re wild creatures and 2 I don’t want them getting used to humans for their safety.
Cheers mates and happy trails

I'm really happy to know the story of OR-7. Thouth being very far from it - in Russia. First I've heard of it from my dauther's book, written as a feature story with nice illustrations. Together we decided to google to learn more and now we have just watched the movie. Thank you very much for sharing your adventure with the world! It's very hearttouching and made us thinking more of the wild nature around us! Sending our best wishes to the team!

It's disappointing to see so many people hating on the documentary because it focuses on the research aspect more than the wolf itself. Personally, I find it interesting! People should know and understand how this type of work is done! There's other sources to look at if you want pretty pictures and stories of the wolves. People worked hard to put this fascinating and thorough documentary about the research behind OR-7- appreciate it!!

If you would have asked me before I watched you on your journey I would have been a negative voice for wolves, but I am a man who thinks differently now and so will the people in my life if I can help it. Thank you for you sacrifice It changed my train of thought.

Thank y’all for sharing this beautiful documentary. Wolves are what got me into being an animal activist and especially for Wolves. I’m a member of the international wolf Center founded by Dr Dave Mech in Ely Minnesota. He’s the granddaddy of all wolf research.
I love this documentary and I thank you for sharing 🔥💜🔥🐺
