Показать описание
Written by Clive Metcalf, Keith Noble and Dave Stuart. Arranged by Herb Bernstein. Produced by Stu Phillips
The Doodletown Pipers were an easy listening vocal group in the style of the Ray Conniff Singers. As with a number of similar groups, their LPs consisted of standards and hits of the day presented in an easy listening style. They did release a few 45s that were not on their albums. “A Summer Song” / “Summertime Summertime” was one of these.
“A Summer Song” was first recorded by Chad (Dave Stuart) and Jeremy and was a #7 US hit for the duo in 1964. Subsequent versions followed from artists such as the Lettermen and Skeeter Davis.
