I have a K2Max and I love mine. Facebook has a large support group already for it and they are extremely helpful. I use mine to print scale figures. In most cases I'm able to print almost an entire figure in one print with better quality than my other printers.

Needing a large format printer is just something most will need eventually IMO. I can cut things down in Orca and glue them together, but sometimes you just don't want to do that. I guess I'll just keep waiting for a good one before I buy.

I don't think its "Mail" but Mall. Which is a poor translation of shop.
I might be wrong but that's what it looked like to me.
Great video. Keep up the good work.

The button says "MALL", not "MAIL". As in, the place you go to shop 😅😂

I find your perspective interesting, especially the limited functionality of wifi. However, I think that you should discuss print quality a little more. As an owner of a kobra 2 max, the max is the most reliable printer that I have ever used. In several months of use, it has never failed whether I print a very large lithophane, an articulated dragon, or many large objects at the same time. Bed adhesion has been great, no stringing, and no messing around with the z offset once the initial setup. I like a good user experience, but I love what so far has been an essentially bullet proof printer.

thanks faux, this is EXACTLY what i wanted. I wanna see a big printers comparison or a Kobra 2 max vs neptune 3/4/plus/max

As someone who is relative new to 3D Printing (or more like to owning one), I can say: you're 100% right about the general consumer. It's the user experience. That's why I bought a Bambu, and not a Elegoo (which I initially was planning to) on Black Friday last year.

Because I want to print - I have enough hobbies to tinker.

So I have used this and the kobra 2 and normal volcano nozzles work fine as long as you make sure they are tightened all the way down been using a hardened steel nozzle on this and my normal kobra 2 and a 0.6 on my max with no issues

This didnt feel like a review. You unboxed it, complained about the interface, the slicer, and the app. Ok. They suck. But what about the printer? Does it work well? Is it efficient? Does it print well at large volume?

Was hoping for more of a review about the hardware rather than optional software.

One big issue I haven’t seen anyone talk about in these reviews on the Kobra 2 plus is the fact that the firmware forces the fan on to 100% after the first layer. I assume the max has the same issue based on forum chatter. The printer does not obey the code and you have to turn it off manually. This is an issue when printing at high bed temperatures because the fan is so aggressive at 100% that it will cause a thermal issue and stop the print. The nozzle stays put when this happens and welds itself to the printed material if you aren’t present. You must be present and turn it off manually on the second layer.

Wish you would have had this up before I bought one :) Mine I have to change the speed on the printer to STABLE or any print with a bit of z height has massive layer shifts and fails. Also another problem is if you print something say 300mm high then go to print something else without re-homing the z, it will cause the filament to back off the spool and wrap around whatever it can find...so annoying! I did find other nozzles on amazon but the fact that I can print fast with a supposedly fast printer just irks me ;)

Thank god my Neptune worked out of the box and apart from ramming the head into the side while homing it still works no problem
however I am serious what Max 5 might bring they might polish a few things and make it even better

I just used a normal volcano nozzle from microswiss on my Kobra 2 Max, no issues at all...

Yeah I've got one of these. It's sitting under a stack of random stuff after the last time it extruded a giant wasp nest under the print head and needs to be fixed up again. The problem with my Bambus and my K1 Max is that they make it too easy to say "screw it, I'm just going to use my Bambus and my K1 Max." So for the last several weeks I've been cranking out stuff on those smaller beds because I'm still mad at my Kobra 2 for being a huge (pun intended) disappointment. Please Bambu, make a 350mm+ printer.

Bought a Kobra 2 Max. Loved it at first. Then the print head crashed into the print bed and destroyed it. The heated bed would not heat up. The hot end was bent back and mostly torn off the supporting structure. No response from Anycubic to many messages from me over a months time. Took the residual junk and recycled it. Bought a Sovol 08 that thankfully still works.

so just fix my ender 5 plus... I feel like big printers have hardly progressed at all, i was hoping to find a 350x350x300 or bigger for 500 or less but this seems like it would be a lateral move or worse when it comes to print resolution(Big and not ugly is my goal)
