Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi has distributed relief food packs to 400 vulnerable families in his constituency.

Specifically, 200 families hail from Kabete NITD camp. Similarly, 200 familes came from Mwimuto informal settlement.

Uniquely, the packs contain food ratios as well as sanitation material such as soaps.

Mr Wanyonyi said that he will continue reaching out to donors to cushion economically vulnerable families.

With this in mind, he explained the far reaching economic impact among many of his constituents.

Additionally, the legislator cautioned the residents to protect themselves against COVID-19.

As has been noted, he reiterated the virus as a real and therefore the need to adjust to the new normal.

Equally important, Hon Wanyonyi asked the beneficiaries to comply with government regulations.

Not to mention: Washing hands; Sanitizing hands; Putting on masks; Social distancing; Avoiding social places among other measures.

On another note, the soft spoken MP requested parents to diligently take care of their children.

At the same time, the second term member of national assembly has put in place several measures to avert the spread of COVID-19 in his constituency.

In the first place, he has led several food drives in the constituency.

Secondly, Hon Wanyonyi has installed several hand washing points across various residential areas.

Thirdly, the Westlands MP has put in place a sanitization booth in Kangemi.

Fourthly, the hardworking MP has established a clean running water system in Githogoro informal settlements.
