Eschatology 51: The Millennium and the Messiah, the Servant Shepherd.

In Jesus’ first coming He came as the suffering Servant. Because Jesus took the punishment for our sins He could make Israel right with God and sprinkle many nations. This salvation is open to all. Because Jesus suffered in His atoning death God will apportion Him a part of Israel’s inheritance in the Millennium. As shepherd He will feed His people and look after them in the way that Israel’s kings failed to do.
