This non-invasive selection provides all of the utility of other spirea, but without the unwanted seedlings – plus flowers all season long! Its lack of seed also makes it a perpetual bloomer, putting all of its energy into creating wave after wave of red-pink flowers from early summer through frost. No deadheading required! Naturally grows as a neat mound.

I bought 15 of these bushes last fall in Michigan on clearance. In early spring now and they are already gorgeous red and healthy! I planted them with black butterfly bushes!❤😊❤

I got two of these late spring. Had a rough start (i blame it on being a new gardener) but right now they look great! Can't wait until next year when everything I bought are more established. Love Proven Winners. Even my annuals bubble gum pertunias in the ground are doing wonderfully. They got huge! Already looking forward to spring next year. Thanks for the channel!

Wow! This spires is beautiful. The spirea I currently have only blooms for a short period of time-a few weeks to a month at the most.

Spirea, all varieties, are my favorite shrub out there! From Gold Mound’s super early spring leaf out and beautiful spring and fall colors, to Double Play Gold’s perfect ball shape, to Double Play Doozie’s constant color, I cannot get enough! The bees also love them. I am trying Candy Corn next!

I have it in my garden and it is truly remarkable. It gets very little sunlight - still performs wonderfully. It gets very little disease and flowers from mid-spring to fall. It attracts wonderful pollinators - and looks fabulous. What more can anyone want?

Sure won’t look like that in Canada😂I wished! Mine is quite smaller and survives the winter, but I still love it!!

Fantastic! I have just the spot for this shrub. Gorgeous! I read it’s suppose to get 2-3’ high and wide. Those look huge. Do they have potential to get bigger then the description gives?

Does it need to be pruned and when would you prune it. Does it have interesting fall color? It is beautiful!

It's so beautiful. Is it spreading around?

Do I need to deadhead the spent blooms on my Double Play, or is that personal preference?

I have three of these plants in my garden since last year. Should i deadhead the spent blooms so as the shrub look more fresh and clean with new growth, as the spent blooms looks brown and dry and doesn't fell down by themselves.

Mine is not flowering anymore. It had great blooms/color when I purchased it and first planted it, but the blooms dried up and were not replaced with new ones. The bush, however, has a bunch of new leaf growth. How do I get it to bloom again? It is in full Sun/Zone 7.

I have three of these. And I absolutely love them. I’m wondering now that mine are two years old when and if I need to prune them. I am fine with letting them do their thing, but is it improving to their health if they are pruned in the spring? And how far back should they be pruned if that is the best thing to do? Also mine seem to get a fids on them in the spring and I’m wondering if there’s anything I can do to prevent this? So far I just spray with soapy water and that takes care of it but I’m wondering if there’s any way to prevent it.

How long does this shrub bloom and do you cut it back after blooming?

These are pretty! Aside from this option, are there any evergreen flowering shrubs for 6a that will stay under 3x3, and rebloom 3 seasons? Dont require deadheading? I have looked for days and mostly find deciduous instead of evergreen. I found azaleas and then read how they are very toxic. I have a lot of medical issues and don't want plants they suggest you shouldn't touch, not to mention dogs who would not know to never touch them.

Any chance we will see these in lowes and Home depot soon?

Mine has been planted in a very large pot for about 4 years. Zone 8a NC. It flowers nicely in the spring. I deadhead it and it flowers sporadically after that. Should I plant it in the ground? It's about 3 ft by 3ft... Or can it stay in this pot indefinitely?
