How to repair a leather tear in a car seat

I have had leather repairs done several times in my luxury cars and it is always better to find an interior repair professional to do it right. I always used self employed people that were well reviewed and they did flawless work for a great price. This DIY job still shows the tears and I wouldn't be at all satisfied with it. Hire a pro.

My seats are heated/cooled seats, hence they have the perforated holes, and I have a tear that's getting bigger, would the same technique work? And if so, will the seat still function as it should?

The idea behind this isn't to make it look like new. The idea is to keep it from spreading and continuing to rip/tear, preventing further damage. If you want it to look new, get a new seat, new seat cover, or a professional upholsterer/interior repair specialist to take care of it for you. But if you want it done for cheaper than a seat cover and keeping your original seat, this is the way.

looks fine, yes you can still the the scar, but nobody cares about a scar, people care about rips and holes in their seats and you fixed that well enough. job done.

werent you supposed to sand both areas down so no glue sticking up then put on the final color?? You never sanded down the hi spots

What Kit did you use Nick ? I tried a Kraftex without filler or glue and it doesnt work

It's easier to take the seat out and take it to a seat repairer. I work at a car dealership and we have always problems with Mercedes seats like these. They will change out the leather on the seat edge and it costs like 50 eur. Looks like a C-class.
