The Innate Lie of the Mirror - Visual Poem

Показать описание
Mirrors are useless to me
I can only see myself reflected
in the eyes of someone else

Maybe the whole world is just an army of ghosts
Bumping to and fro into each other
Trying desperately to remember the lives we once had
When we were happy

And we catch reflections from reflections
Snatch a piece here and there
We find time all around us
And tomorrow hides somewhere deep within

But the glimpses aren't enough
The mirror never reforms
The pieces don't ever
move

And the ghosts
stay still,
swaying to and fro,
in the dark
