“Global and Regional Collaboration for Strengthening Health System Resilient Toward Health Security “

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on health, society and economy globally. As of 11 October 2021, a total of 237 383 711 confirmed cases including 4 842 716 deaths reported globally. The Asia Pacific regions (referring to two WHO regions: WHO Western Pacific Region (WPR) and WHO South East Asia Region (SEAR) have experienced several waves and are currently seeing a decrease in COVID-19 cases.

The National Health Day (HKN) serves as a momentum to raise awareness of health personnel and multi sectors at all levels for their contribution to strengthening health system resilience towards health security as part of regional and global communities.

And several topics that will be serve, such as: Epidemiological situation and updated COVID-19 scientific brief, Lesson learned of Asia Pacific Strategy for Emerging Diseases and Public Health Emergencies (APSED) implementation, Strengthening ASEAN regional health security: recovery through regional cooperation, Collaboration with Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN), Emergency Medical Teams (EMTs), Collaborating centres (CCs), Field Epidemiology Training Programme (FETP) network, Institute for Transformative Technologies and Policies for Supporting Implementation of COVID-19 Response and Recovery Plan in Southeast Asia (ITTP-COVID19), and of course Technical topics and country experiences.
