A classic and easy to make dessert is Paula Deen's almond chocolate almond balls.

Recipe makes 100 balls

INGREDIENTS

2 (16 ounce) boxes confectioners' sugar
1⁄2 cup butter, softened
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 (14 ounce) package shredded coconut
1 1⁄2 cups chopped almonds
1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

Step 1
Cream together sugar and butter in a bowl; add milk.

Step 2
Stir in almond, coconut, and nuts; mix well.

Step 3
Form candy into 1-inch balls. Place on waxed paper and refrigerate at least 3 hours.

Step 4
Melt chocolate in top of double boiler, stirring well. Remove from heat but allow chocolate to remain over hot water. (If chocolate becomes too thick, return to heat for a minute or so to thin).

Step 5
With a toothpick, dip each ball in chocolate and place on waxed paper until set.

This recipe is awesome! I took the almonds and coconut out and changed the extracts around and made endless combinations of flavors with extracts and different types of chocolate. Imagine. Raspberry balls in white chocolate, or dark chocolate, or milk chocolate... or strawberry, or peanut butter.... Thanks for the inspiration Paula Deen!

When a recipe calls for paraffin sheets, are they talking about paraffin bars? I have searched for the sheets and only found bars. Thank you!
