I love this song and the parings were perfect! Especially Lady Tremaine and Kaylee! That was my favorite, besides Tiana and Tzipporh and Belle and Anna Leonowens!

I feel like the story for the Charlotte/Sophie one was that Charlotte was always second to other things, like the cat, as a child and even on her own wedding day, her mother chooses to party with her friends rather than be there for her daughter, and in the Lady Tremaine/Kayleigh one that maybe Kayleigh wasn’t really hers, maybe she was kidnapped as a baby and has turned out more rebellious than Lady Tremaine wanted. And for Esmeralda/Shanti, Esme is always leading protests for justice and neglects Shanti, which causes Shanti to run away.
