Batman Hush had big shoes to fill following Son Of Batman , Batman VS Robin , and Batman Bad Blood
Unfortunately it didn't live up to the expectations.

The thing I hated most about this film was that they kept referring to Riddler as a C lister which he has never been and overall while the original Hush story was a little messy at least Riddler was very competent in it in terms of strategy.

You hit the nail on the head—Riddler’s compulsion to leave clues are what give him away every time; it’s almost impossible to believe he would be able to commit crimes as Hush without leaving clues like before. It’s why he’s crazy.

What I loved about the romance ending was that it was Batman that made it not work, she was willing to compromise and be a different person for him, she would have given crime and her old life all up for him. But he wouldn't change, he refused to even save his loved ones over Hush, he was willing to risk her life to attempt to save Riddler. Like, she was in the right, and it's neat to see that.

my issue with this movie and riddler being hush is that nygma decided to fist fight batman in the end. dude has never been one to throw hands with batman. he thinks of physical violence as beneath him and always wanted to prove he's better than batman mentally. it really rubbed me the wrong way for him to use such methods to best bruce.

This movie honestly has the worst problems for me that the other 2 movies before it did with disrespecting and going too far off of the source material. Mostly the disrespect of the Riddler having him be a C lister and the end mischaracterization of Selina with her leaving just because she decided to be more bloodlusted than she's supposed to be and because she doesn't like the fact Bruce wants to save everyone despite the fact that Selina has known him for literally years and knows this fact. And Thomas Elliot not being Hush jus kills it for me. Also Nightwing casually taking his millionth L in these movies when he shouldn't

Watching this video today and seeing Kevin Conroy doing a "cameo" for you at the end just made me sad, man.

I really liked the film. I think they made the Hush identity twist work. It was an interesting twist and was genuinely surprising compared to the book where its SO obvious that it's Thomas Elliot.

For all the flaws that HUSH (the original comic, not the animated adaptation) had, I appreciated it for bringing back Jason Todd - or, more accurately, making it look like Tood had returned before they retconned the story so that he DID return. I always felt bad that the second Robin died so pathetically after getting only one punch on the Joker. I always wanted him to have another chance. And he got one both in HUSH and in UNDER THE RED HOOD!

Leaving behind the fact that the only thing they kept from the comic storyline was the first half. It makes no sense for the Riddler to be Hush. Hush is to Batman what Moriarty is to Holmes and in this film they turned him into nothing more than a campy gag by the Riddler.

Also, the sown on question mark on the forehead was extremely cheesy. They had a chance to fix the issues the comics have had with this character and craft a much more cat and mouse mystery storyline for them to exist in. But instead they made it feel like a fan fiction version of the original storyline.

But regardless of that, nice video as always Vee. Hush Hush m8. ;)

Imagine how cool it would have been if it was revealed that Ra's al Ghul was Hush the whole time. I think that would have been a decent twist.

They did my boy riddler dirty in this movie! They made him a loser villain and made him drop the riddles! Did the writers of this movie hate riddler or something? I don't really care much for the Thomas Elliott character either.

Hush Hush.
I feel even if they wanted a twist, this as a twist wasn't the way to go.
Wonder what Vee thinks of the twist in the Batman Animated Series continues comic and what they do with Hush there.

I actually didn't know how I felt the first time I watched it but after watching it a few more times it's become one of my favorite installments in this line of films.

5:50 That is a common problem not just with adaptations of Batman stories (which have fallen back on the crutch of swapping character roles around for a very long time now) but long running 'geek media' in general.
This is no different than the Khan reveal in the JJ Abrams Star Trek movies. Non-fans have no reason to care while the fans may just be confused or annoyed why something was changed for the sake of change without improving anything in the story.

The Lazarus pit was brilliant.

Basically, the comics imply that, while normal people go insane in the pit, The Riddler (who's already insane) went sane. Without his inferiority complex and OCD, Nygma was able to put together the clues that were already right in front of him.

……..I feel like that’s gonna be another unpopular opinion of mine just like me liking Damian Wayne is lol.

But yeah it’s not nearly as good as the previous 3 and some things are just fucking weird but I still like it.

I never cared for the Catwoman/Batman romance in this movie. Mainly because this is the first time they introduced Catwoman to this movie universe, yet they basically started the movie off together. It's a little hard to root for a romance that just expects you to accept this kind of love story out of nowhere.
