If this is the worst quarter Nike will have, then we have about another 3 month of declining stock prices before the next earnings will turn it around.

Bullish on Nike. They dumped the guy who ran them into the ground and re-hired one of their OG players in Elliot Hill. Tariffs, bad sentiment and trendy competition are all going to fade. Nike isn’t going anywhere.

It’s true that Nike had a bit of a rough patch under the former eBay e-commerce CEO, but we need to keep things in perspective. Nike is still bigger than all of its competitors. They're signing young talent again, reestablishing relationships with retailers, and the next World Cup is in the U.S.—a huge home-field advantage. With the brand power, resources, and leadership they have, Nike has everything it needs to turn things around.

Bill Ackman likes Nike… beyond that the comparison to ON is decent however, many brands have come and gone having their 15 minutes of fame and then disappearing into irrelevance, yet NIKE is still the king.

I think you are missing the single most important point....They are by far the largest apparel brand by popularity....It's tough to build that...will take 50 years for some others

Great Analysis i Think its more cause of the Brand aand reputation of the company some Investors choose to invest in the stock and of course the turn around Story and the possible potential of it in regards to possible gains But surely its gone Take a whole

I but nike for the turn around play and its more safe option for me as my portfolio needs some stability . I want to have some stock that are cornerstone of my portfolio and I believe nike is a good option with google amazon and sofi(i know sofi having huge spike up and downs but this is great company and i bought it very cheap.)

I own a small position bc I like the brand and I thought it had bottomed out. Not the best reasons to own a stock. Maybe it’s time has come and gone. I will give it another quarter or two.

It will not be a good quarter for years to come. not with all the trumponomy and uncertainty that it brings.

Jeremy Lefebvre always pumps Nike. I have to check his channel to see his take on Nike’s earnings. I have a feeling he will say, buy the dip😂

I like the established consumer brands and the lower priced consumer brands at these prices. I like NKE specifically because everyone is so depressed about the stock and staring into space about the P/E amidst a flush out of margins stemming from weaker margins. And yet, I think these margins will come back and as a result, drive considerably higher bottom line growth in years to come. It’s a turnaround, but frankly, the move back towards wholesalers is encouraging.

My thesis is that the consumer is doing significantly worse than the macro overview, and when you have a struggling consumer, there is likely to be trading down towards the cheaper products, with splurges coming on the known brands. These are brands that have been known forever and therefore you know roughly what you’re going to get. It “feels” safer and “feels” timeless.

I don’t like these rising brands like on in this environments due to this outlook of mine. If we’re talking on specifically, the designs are quite “out there”, and because of that, I’m pricing in a higher risk of “here today gone tomorrow”.

I appreciate the Nike honesty. This is a 3-5 year play at minimum. It’ll work out eventually, but you can own almost anything else in the meantime while this figures itself out.
