The "Beaver drop" was a unique wildlife relocation effort by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game in 1948. To solve issues with beavers in populated areas, officials parachuted 76 beavers into Idaho's remote regions using surplus WWII parachutes and specially designed boxes. This method proved more effective and humane than traditional transport, leading to a high survival rate with only one casualty.
