NEW NEW UPDATE OCTOBER 2023 - turns out this cart is now officially my worst purchase ever - another cartridge in poor condition sold for around ~$3000

NEW UPDATE July 28, 2023: one finally auctioned on eBay! It sold for $5200. Some minor label wear to it. You should be easily able to find the listing if you want to check it out (until eBay removes it).

Old Update: a copy of this sold on November 4, 2022, for $7200 on Heritage Auctions.

I purchased this one back in May 2022 for $8000. That is a value loss of $800 minimum between sales, or -10%. (I say minimum because the seller isn't going to walk away with $7200, and no guarantee I would either).

I enjoy transparency on these kinds of things.

That’s WAY more than you should be spending on that game.. they’re rare and expensive, I made a video covering the entire demo… I think it’s maybe a $3000-$4000 game which is very expensive but 8 grand is even more out of control.

That cartridge has the whole game on it. Hackers were able to bypass the demo and play the full game months before it came out. I remember hearing about it when it happened and I've seen a few videos that mention it before. It was a really dope time for video games.
