Query laning works like an HOV lane. It provides prioritized access to a subset of resources for urgent queries. Query laning ensures that interactive time-sensitive queries are never blocked by longer-running reporting queries.
Gian Merlino originally presented this webinar on 5/20/20. With the recent release of Imply 3.3 and Apache Druid 0.18 it brings several significant new features. He covered two major release features. JOINs and Query laning. Gian explains how JOINs work in Druid, when to use them, including a real-world case study and ensuring SLAs with different workloads using Query laning.
Imply transforms how businesses run by integrating real-time analytics into their operations. Founded by the authors of the Apache Druid database, Imply provides a cloud-native solution that delivers real-time ingestion, interactive ad-hoc queries, and intuitive visualizations for many types of event-driven and streaming data flows. Imply has operations in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific and is backed by Andreesen Horowitz, Khosla Ventures, and Geodesic Capital.
