Just an fyi, regular can openers also do this, and if yours is still sharp like it should be, it won’t really leave a jagged edge. Plus it’s about 100x easier.

You can do that with a regular can opener. It does the same thing but is 10x easier.
I make pencil holders out of cans and have been doing this for over a decade. They also make neat planters for starters.

Just use a can opener. I do it all the time when I cook things with a lit of grease. Just take an empty pop can, use a can opener on the top, and pour it in. Works just fine.

our can opener is kinda similar with this and there’s like a small pincer on one side so that it’s easy to lift/remove the cover!
