Honestly it looks like Haley was intimidated by Alex, prolly because Alex was smarter, so whenever Alex was around she would be rude and resentful to everyone. And this would lead to arguments, because they'd be rude back. Like here, she was rude to Luke and Phil after Alex came, so Luke said something rude back. So that's on Haley and her issues if they fight, not Alex's fault !
