NEW THRIVE CAUSEMETICS BUILDABLE BLUR CONCEALER | Honest Review

Finally! Today I'm sharing all my thoughts on the new(ish) Thrive Causemetics Buildable Blur Concealer. In 24 shades, I have 3 on hand to swatch and compare. I'll do a full application and share my thoughts as I've worn this over the past couple of weeks.

Ok I know the focus of this video was on the concealers, but for some reason this is the one that convinced me to finally try the Typology tinted serum!

I was initially bummed to see all the shades looked yellow/warm on your arm but I just realized they have cool-toned versions of those shades. SCORE!

Hey, Kackie, thanks for the swatches and demo. I’m really curious what you think of the undertones compared to Kosas. This is why: I’m a muted neutral who shares issues with light/pale cool olives. For my face, I can make a **near perfectly** toned concealer by mixing Kosas 1.5 & 3.2. The mix does not work at all under my eyes, however. It’s too dark, but also too yellow. In fact, no Kosas concealer looks good under my eyes. Yellow≠brightening under my eyes.


Also, I do overnight tests on foundation and concealer, to see how my skin feels the next day. Kosas leaves me feeling dry. I have uber-dry, very sensitive skin, also deal with psoriasis (read familiar?, ) and I’m 53. If I wake up and my skin feels, for lack of a better word, protected, I am more comfortable with a product.


So, if it helps anyone who has dry skin, and is close to my very fair muted neutral tone, I can use Ere Perez arnica concealer in latte under my eyes, and glossier g11 & g10 on my face. Gonna see if g12 works under my eyes. My skin has sallowed a bit, among other things, as its aged, so a bit of pink (but not too much!) under the eyes wakes the area up.
