Is it safe to travel out of U.S and return U.S safe using Refugee Travel Document ( I-131 form) while Green card application is pending ?

Congratulations on your excellent video! I need to travel outside US to have surgery (I think it may take about 8 months) Could you make a video on how to fill I-131 in cases of green card holders?

Are you saying that people need to keep paying rent (or mortgage) in the US, even if they have a Reentry Permit?

Hey there! Thank you for the information. My i485 is pending I plan to use my advance parole next month to visit my family, my grandma will go under a serious surgery and I want to be there. Problem is my spouse (us citizen) will fly with me but leave home sooner because of military duty so I will be flaying back into US by myself. Is that safe? Thanks I’m advance! I’m planning to bring all the document to confirm his duty as well as my grandmas medial records!

Hi: My wife and son are from Ukraine. They have I-94s via Military PIP. I am a US veteran. We need to go back to Ukraine to see her father who is sick with a hemoglobin disease and may not live much longer and to renew our son's passport (it expires in August and the embassy says it will take up to a year if we mail it in). She needs her medical/immunization records and we need to clear out her house and put her house up for sale. We need her medical records and his passport renewed to apply for their green cards- so we haven't yet applied for green cards. My question is: Do you know if we can we apply for documents to travel back to Ukraine to do these things? If so, we can't understand which travel document we should apply for?

Hi Kseniya International: I have a few questions about the I-131 application. There is an option for advance parole documentation solicitation that asks if you are a person soliciting the advance parole for someone who is outside the US

Do I need to apply for Advance Parole with spouse based i485, if I have valid H1b non immigration visa on my passport?
I want to travel and getting advance parole is now taking over 11 months.

Привет Ксеня,

I'm a permanent resident with an valid green card. I have lived in the US for 30 years. Recently my Ukrainian passport expired and it's such a hassle getting a new one considering what is going.

I want to take a cruise and travel some outside the US. Can form i-131 be used as a passport document along with my permanent resident card to do traveling? Thank you for all this information.

Can advanced parole be renewed after it expires or is it just a one time issue?

El proposito de pedir este permiso de viaje es nada más por si hubiera una emergencia en mi familia en Guatemala, es la unica razón por la que viajaria mientras está en trámite mi residencia. En la parte 7 y pregunta 1 marco la casilla: one trip or more than one trip?
La otra pregunta es: al poner una fecha (que ni siquiera es segura porque yo no saldria a menos que fuera por una emergencia) puedo usar el permiso de viaje en otra fecha? Por ejemplo si simplemente quisiera ir a visitar familia?

Thanks for being clear in explanation. 1) Can you return to the U.S. with a 10-year permanent green card that still has 1 month before it expires? 2) If you're renewing your 10-year permanent resident card, can you still travel while waiting for the new green card to arrive? If not, is there a form you need to fill out? Thanks again.

Hi Kseniya,
I am a permanent US resident, originally from Venezuela. As a permanent resident I would like to apply for a Reentry Permit because getting a passport from Venezuela is much more difficult and I am not going back to Venezuela. Is it ok to use a Reentry like a passport?
