El polígono industrial del Callejón de la Gata, ubicado en Los Llanos de Aridane, en La Palma, fue desarrollado como una de las principales áreas industriales de la isla, con alrededor de 50 parcelas y unas 20 empresas operando en él antes de su destrucción. Este espacio albergaba actividades relacionadas con la tecnología, manufactura, logística, e incluso un punto limpio para la gestión de residuos.

En septiembre de 2021, el volcán Tajogaite (en Cumbre Vieja) entró en erupción, y las coladas de lava avanzaron rápidamente, arrasando con múltiples localidades, incluido el Callejón de la Gata y el polígono industrial. Para el 10 de octubre de 2021, gran parte de las instalaciones habían sido destruidas. Desde entonces, se han estado realizando esfuerzos para recuperar la zona y reactivar la actividad empresarial, con planes para reconstruirlo en el mismo lugar.

The Callejón de la Gata industrial estate, located in Los Llanos de Aridane, in La Palma, was developed as one of the main industrial areas of the island, with around 50 plots and about 20 companies operating on it before its destruction. This space housed activities related to technology, manufacturing, logistics, and even a clean point for waste management.

In September 2021, the Tajogaite volcano (in Cumbre Vieja) erupted, and the lava flows advanced rapidly, destroying multiple towns, including the Callejón de la Gata and the industrial estate.
