Great video! What is the voltage going across the LED? Is it 9v or a lower value? I am trying to see if i can use this circuit to control a buzzer.

Thank you so much! Any chance you could explain how to also change the speed of the blinking light bulb?

Nice video but can you explain how the circuit works please?

Does this work on any kind of bread board, because I'm new to these stuff, please let me know?

Amazing Work Oywind!! Hats off!! Couple of questions

1) I tried using a 547 Transistor with 330 ohm resistors connected to the Base and the Collector instead of the Schmitts Inverter as mentioned in your book, but am not getting the LED light to blink. It just blinks once and turns off

2) Is there a particular R and C value combo for getting the exact on off timings, for eg., For 20 times blinking/sec use this value of or resistor and capacitor. Or for such precision timing do we need a 555 timer??

Thanks in Advance!!!

I'm looking to use a 3 volt coin battery and trying to make four 0805 leds flash, like car hazard lights. Would this still be a setup that I can use?

Is this possible to be build as controlled on/off (blinking) led? Example 4ms on and 35ms off

0:50 why is the IC named U1 and can you do this using a regular hex inverter like the 7404 instead of a Schmitt triggered one ?

How can I control the timing of the blinking? Like If I want it to be slower

My led turns on but it does not blink. I have remade the circuit twice. Please help.

There was a circuit similar to this, (many years ago) in a magazine, expect, the lower the battery voltage fell, the faster the LED would blink.... do you know how to do that?

I did the same exact circuit, and it did work but facing some minor issue. When I run the ciruit it does not blink at all it just runs without blinking. What is the problem. Is it related to the voltage source since I run it for the first time with 12 volts as a power source or I have some other issues?

Please, helpe out.

I want to make a brake alert, When the brake is applied, the led should flash rapidly four times and then constantly keep lit until the brake is released. It's a 12 volt circuit, LED lamp. How can I make it flash four times and then constantly keep it on?

If I want to add more LEDs what changes I should do in this circuit components

would it be possible to connect more than one led to the same trigger inverter?

Hello sir, that first resistor you placed did it slot into a row the inverter is in and second pin into an empty row? If so how does putting it into an empty spot work? Does this mess with the citcut?

Is this necessary that we use capacitor in this circuit?

Hi I followed all the steps but I use a mb102 poeer supply which gives oit 5v. Will this work or do I need to use different capacitors/resistors? thanks

So what is exactly happening here is the capacitor filling up than once it’s filled the shift register allows it to flow to the LED? If you were to add different sized compactors would you get different blink speeds?
