here are some words about it :

After working with many notable record labels such as Chillhop Records, ChilledCow Records, Dreamhop, Hip Dozer and Chill Select, Jesse Aymon Dettwiler, commonly known as C4C, is back with his debut LP.

"I seek to give a modern twist to a style I inherited, while keeping its deep and restful soul"
"I want to blend the authentic culture of folk music (Bob Dylan, Sons of the East, Hollow Coves) with the proud old school Hip Hop scene, capturing the warmth of an acoustic atmosphere with the retro sound of a J.Dilla..."

For the last eight months, the tri-national composer has armed himself with instruments from these two backgrounds that now form his audio identity:
folk guitar, harmonica, synths, transversal flute, MPC, electronic bass, audio sequencer, ukulele and the renowned kalimba to name the most important ones.

This opus is the first of a trilogy which is in progress, just as the design of the cover which will gradually find its full meaning.
Directed by his talented friend Guillaume Frederick, the cover hides great symbolism which will be revealed in the course of the releasing of the subsequent volumes. Jesse confesses, "it's quite normal that for the moment, it doesn't seem to mean a whole lot".

This debut album is a humble initiative, to lay the foundations of this genre, and to finally give a name to this new branch, child of Chillhop music.
