This left me in tears! What a warrior for truth! I went to Rhema and went to many of Carlton’s services at ORU as well as his church Higher D. I was there when he broke out of the illusion of separation and was one of the ones who originally thought he was a heretic. I'm only afraid that Carlton Pearson didn't read James 1: 21: "Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to SAVE YOUR SOULS".

God WANTS to save us, however we NEED to seek Him on prayers, reading the bible and practicing what we learn on these Scriptures.

This never ceased to be a matter of choice!

*THE GOSPEL IS UNBELIEVABLE!*
The arrangement of the Gospel is actually quite amazing and truly inconceivable.

The Creator first decides to allow free will to rebel against him. Just cause he is love (John 4:8) and love doesn't force or intimidate to obedience and compliance. In addition...He is also just(Psalm 33:5), which means His forgiveness doesn't make void the just sanction of punishment for the breaking of the perfect moral law He in His omniscience created according to His own moral nature.

But now here's the inconceivable part; He doesn't merely say 'I forgive you' and gives us our punishment...No! He basically creates a way which makes forgiveness+redemption from sin's punishment possible for us as well! His law has always stated that "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). "and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness" (Hebrews 9:22). Thus He promised mankind to send His essence in the person of His Son to be that ultimate sin offering and die that death! This promised substitute we recognize to be Jesus, who voluntarily laid down His life for us.

Why His Son and no one else u might wonder? Well, if there's a court case and a criminal is about to get the deserved death sentence from the judge, would it be justice for another criminal deserving the same sentence to take upon himself that punishment? Wouldn't he just be getting what he already deserved for his own sins in the first place?

As humans, we all have sinned and fallen short as Romans 3:23 states. We thus all need a blameless substitute like Christ in our court case.

It doesn't befit the majesty and greatness of someone highly exalted as Him at all! That's what makes it even more incomprehensible. We see Love, Justice, Forgiveness and Selflessness harmonizing in the works of this Creative being who refers to Himself as our Father.

And as if this is not enough, He promises that when we accept the free gift of 'death penalty substitution', and desire to improve our lives daily to meet His requirements as Judge, He will send another part of His essence in the person of the Holy Spirit enabling us to change, be renewed in person and will help to make His law a part of our being as well. All of this in order that we might live a life more fulfilling while we wait for our inheritance as His children.

The Gospel is the only plan where the bad guys are actually the ones being saved by the Hero. Rejoice in this guys. Meditate on the weight of this news. Once you grasp this and the Spirit is urging you in your conscience to follow Christ, seal this by turning from your old self, symbolically leaving the old person in the watery grave through baptism, and staying in communion with Him through prayer, worship, praise and obedience. Your life will never be the same once he's a part of it.
