For the example (x+5)^2 +(y-1)^2=9
The General form must be x^2+y^2+10x-2y+17=0 then the F=17 😁

Thank you so much, Sir. I just started my school year a week ago as a STEM junior and I saw this lesson in my syllabus. I was scared I wouldn't understand it but you explained it so well. God bless, Sir.

Answer for assignment (correct me if i'm wrong thank you):
4x^2 + 4y^2 + 12x - 4y - 90 =0

2x^2 + 2y^2 + 6x - 2y - 45 = 0

x^2 + y^2 +3x - y - 45/2 = 0

(x^2 + 3x + 9/4) + (y^2 - y + 1/4) = 45/2 + 9/4 + 1/4

(x+3/2)^2 + (y - 1/2)^2 = 45/2 + 5/2

(x+3/2)^2 + (y - 1/2)^2 = 25

c: (-3/2, 1/2)
r: 5

Sir, what if may linear function ang given general form, you can turn it to standard but how can you turn it back to general, ask lang po. Medyo nahihirapan po ako mag solve ng naka linear yong quadratic dapat or quadratic sana.

Example po;

=4x²+4y²+40x-32y=5
=(4x²+40x) + (4y²-32y) = 5
= (4x²+1x) + (4y²-8y) = 5
= 4(x+10x+25)² + 4(y-8y+16)²= 5+4(25)+4(16)
= 4/4(x+5)² + 4/4(y-4)²= 169/4
= (x+5)² + (y-4)²= 13/2

Ito yung given general to standard, how can you turn it to general again, even though may present na linear function. Nahihirapan ako po ako ibalik, I tried transposing the ² present into the 13/2 which is close to the answer but very wrong naman po. Ilang experiment na ginawa ko po, some how I can't ask this question to my pre-calculus teacher kasi nag stop naman ako sa pag-aaral, somehow I'm learning STEM lessons online, dito rin po sa channel. I hope mabasa niyo po!

Sir question lang po yung formula po ng phytagorean theorem bakit po siya a²+b²=c²? May squared po ba dahil makakagawa ka square?

Yung sa (y-1)² dba dapat answer dun is -1y? Because -1 x y = -1y then multiply by 2 is equal to positive 1y?

can someone explain to me why it is -2y if the -1 x -1 =1 when the fact the -1 multiplied by itself
