Can we appreciate the naming of this track? A Mother's Love. There's the obvious meaning of her actions being done out of lover for Chujin and Kanako, but also Love. As in, LV. Finding it easier to hurt. Ceroba trying to kill a LV1 Clover who spent the entire time going out of their way to help people, even though they jumped into the Underground to rescue the lost humans from monsterkind. Attacking Clover like that would really require some LV.

Ceroba's character design is genius. Y'see, characters like Star and the game at large are heavily influenced by American cowboys, which are heavily associated with the west, meanwhile Ceroba and her family are all traditional Japanese, which is heavily associated with the _east._ Don't you see? It's East vs. West! That's why the eastern-inspired Ceroba is the final boss, the ultimate enemy against the western-inspired player, Clover! Tem outta Tem!
