It looked way better after you vented the tire. It was more round rather than pointy.

Thanks for showing this.
My guess is the difference is more pronounced as the tire is used.

No tire is 100% sealed. Stuff will still get in there.

I typically leave the inside vents open, and vent through the tires also.

Great comparison vid. Does seem to help out somewhat venting the tires...

Awesome stuff mate, sealed tyres I've run definitely bounced on landings, I think venting is the easy the best way to go, especially after watching your water removal video wow!!!

Thank Bicketybam. Great info. Good idea with the tube to cut clean holes.

Great vid. Been wondering the difference for a while.

The tyre should balloon slightly less when vented as the air can escape at the peak

Great comparison vid Ed!👍Yeah even with sealed the ballooning was worse it seemed and the tire got much more pointy. Might be an option for some on a 3s rig.👌Probably won't try that on a 6s truck..Any big jump would probably blow the tire off the rim upon landing with the pressure having nowhere to go!😂😎🤘🤘🍻

I’ve actually blown a tire due a sealed tire, foam and tire friction caused huge amount of pressure!!

Great comparison 👍 Vented is a bit better. I really like how the Granite tires look, but they don't perform well

IDK why this wasn't brought up, but when I just sealed my tires (Backflips & MX38 Badlands) I couldn't stick a landing to save my ass. They acted like balls, and I would have more rebound flips.

Bick have you found an alternative driveshaft yet instead of the cheap stock ones

Just curious, did you have to balance these at all? If not, kudo's to arrma and their glue team! Every traxxas revo/e-revo/tmaxx/emaxx tire I've had is out of balance. Fine for 35mph nitro, but awful on 6S. I vent all my tires via the tire. I don't pay close enough attention to the glue on all of them before every bash, so since I run in snow and a lot of wet grass, I vent the tire so the water can get back out. Would like to see the unvented/vented comparison on some 3.8". Guessing it's a bit more exaggerated since there's more tire to stretch.

Best way to control ballooning if you can't get belted tires, is tape the inside. That is if the tires aren't pre glued.
