I'm glad I got this endorsement when it became available in my state in 2020. About $12, 000 to replace the complete sewer line to the main in my town from the house no matter if on my own or town property to get there. My insurance company told me they recommend cleaning out the sewer line every 5 years. About $140 cost in my area.

You are so absolutely right on this one, most of them will appreciate having that service lines endorsement added to their policy, sometimes not offered though, a few days ago I quoted a landlord policy/DP3 and it wasn't offered, I guess cause it was a rental

My sewer line backed up a month ago and I just realized that I had this added to my insurance. The cost was maybe 2k all in. I have 5k of coverage. Would I be able to claim this retroactively, and would this be a regular claim against insurance or some other separate type of claim? If it is treated as a regular claim I wouldn't bother.

It's just getting rediculous. Just an out for companies. Seevice line IS A MAINTENENCE issue an owner needs to take care of. PLANT TREES RESPONSIBLY. 😂

You are generalizing policies. Every single policy is different and your information can be very misleading and cost people lots of money.
