How To Clean Shower Doors - Vinegar Shower Cleaner for Hard Water and Soap Scum - No Hard Scrubbing

We found a fast, inexpensive, and easy solution to cleaning hard water stains and soap scum off shower doors and shower glass enclosures. It allow us to clean shower doors quickly with very little effort. You simple spray, wipe and rinse.

We have tried a lot of other cleaning products, but nothing cleaned hard water stains and soap scum as well as simply mixing vinegar and dish soap.

Vinegar & Dish Soap Shower Cleaner Recipe:
1 part vinegar
1 part dish soap

We used 12 oz of each for this video.

Steps:
1. Microwave vinegar in a microwave safe container for 1 to 2 minutes depending on your wattage.
2. Add equal parts dish soap to the vinegar in a spray bottle.
3. Shake very well to make sure the solutions mixes completely
4. Spray the solution to the shower glass and let sit for 5 minutes.
5. Dampen a wash clothe and wipe the glass creating a lather. Be sure to cover all of the area you want to clean.
6. Let sit for at least 10 minutes, then rinse with water.
7. Use a squidgy to remove the excess water.
8. Enjoy your clean glass shower again!

Great video. Very informative. I will try when i get a chance and let you guys know. I know white vinegar has a strong smell to it, is there any vinegary smell after washed down?
After washing the vinegar and dish soap mixture, can you use window cleaner spray then squeegee that down for a shiny/polish finish?

I watched the video and decided to try it. I have 4 glass shower doors I've salvaged from a house being remodeled and they were covered in soap scum, calcium streaks, and just general dirt and mold. They came out pristine. This really works. Those door will be used as windows in our mini greenhouse. Thanks a bunch, I couldn't be happier with the results

Worked great! You definitely need to heat the vinegar as when the solution cools it clogs the spray bottle. As soon as the bottle clogged I put the bottle in hot water for 5 min or so to unclog. This worked for me!

Vinegar fumes is a cream puff compared to bleach. It doesn’t bother me and probably good for the sinuses. Great video. Thanks

I am going to try this.
Normally, when the scale gets too bad on my shower doors, I lay paper towels on it and spray them with just vinegar to make them stick. Let them sit about 10 minutes and then go back, peel them off and rinse. It works very well but your way looks even easier.
And I'm a weirdo who loves the smell of vinegar so it's a win/win for me.

I use 1/3 C. Dawn to 2/3 C. generic white vinegar, stir together to mix in a measuring cup then pour into a dish wand and use that to wash down the shower walls, tub and faucet. Works better than anything.
