I was a proud union member in a state that is a right to work state. I was a shop stewart and gladly paid my union dues. I saw many of my families and friends who had jobs that had no rights for good workers or higher wages. I had affordable insurance medical, dental, eye glass, a good wage, 41k, and wage increases. Americans need to support Unions and the women that walked with the union members in 2019.

I have been a Union man my entire life, as was my father, Mother and my brother.
I have been a Union steward in the Laborers Union, a member of the UAW, permitted for the Boilermakers once, and am currently a proud member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors.
With that said in my experience the leadership of UAW is the biggest joke of a union that has ever existed in union history, Walter Reuther would have never stood for what happened to local 2036 in Henderson KY at the Accuride plant, it was over 20 years ago and I still have a hard time believing that it played out the way it did. So many Great Union men stabbed in the back by their own so called Union representatives. Stellantis should research the back door tactics that the UAW used to break the back of its own members in this 2 year lockout, yes 2 years on the picket line!!!
I truly hope and pray that things have drastically changed in the upper echelon of the UAW, but you would have an impossible time convincing me and any of the nearly 400 ex members of 2036 of it.
