Treasure Island street lights undergo changes to help baby turtles find their way to the ocean

Baby turtles rely on moonlight to get safely to the sea. As turtle nesting season gets underway, these new lights are meant to keep turtles from being disoriented.

Now that's what i am talking about! There's a big smile on my face knowing that a concerted effort and our tax dollars are going towards this noble and urgent endeavor. I can see those happy turtles doing the back-stroke as they enter the safety zone! And no i am not crying. Just got a speck of dust or something in my eyes!
