One of those strange coincidences, unless the Google algorithm knows things it can’t possibly:

I traveled to Stevensville MT 11 years ago for a job, and this album was what I listened to on my iPod while working. The album, and this song in particular, captures the feel of the Bitteroot perfectly, and I still associate it heavily with that trip.

This evening, I happened to zoom in on Stevensville on my laptop, and tooled around town in Street View. To my surprise I “drove” straight to every place I’d been there. Then I went back to my phone and looked around YouTube.

I’d been listening to a fair bit of Alison Krauss of late, but this song had not popped up until tonight.

I remember sitting front row at the Mid Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie watching these fabulous musicians, and being totally engrossed in their performance. It was as if god sent down an angel to sing to us. AMAZING. An experience I will never forget.
