Supurb little box. Very well built. I use mine with my favourite mics . A SE Electronics V7 and sennhieser 935. Really gives it a nice hot clean signal with lots of headroom. The sound is so smooth..

Question: I have two cables, one short and one long. Should the CL-1 be oriented closer to the mic, or to the audio device for best sound?

Once I tried a cloudlifter, I would NEVER run a dynamic or ribbon microphone without going through it. It makes my Shure SM57 sound better than my condenser microphones .... actually, it boosts the gain to the point, I like this better than my expensive boom mic (when used with the Shure SM57). I'm also using the cloudlifter with a few of my favorite Shure Ribbon mics - SM33 (nicknames the Johnny Carson Microphone) which is over 50 years old.

Love this device, use it every day when recording vocals with my Shure SM7B.  Everyone who records with dynamics should own one of these.  You can hear the SM7B and CL-1 together with female vocals in my live music videos on my channel.

i own two of these and to agree with somebody else comment why would you not record with them if you own them....they make a huge difference and once you have tried one and hear what a difference it makes you will be sold on it....

Hi, i need your help. I record the voice and the guitar at the same time, shure sm7b for muy voice and Samson CO2 for the guitar. I have the tascam us4x4 interface which gives phantom power to the 4 channels at the same time. So when the shure sm7b works with phantom power appear some noise. With the cloudlifter would i resolve this problems and would protect my shure?

Question: Why is there noticeable buzz on seconds :08-09 before the VO kicks in. I always find it discouraging when audio reviews and companies allow bad audio to represent their products. Funny especially since this is actually a great piece of equipment.

I have Focusrite connected throughout imac usb, when I hock up my Sure SM57 direct to the Focusrite it does not work, when I hock up through the Cloudlifter it works great... Why it did not work without Cloudlifter?
