"He's in a four wheel drift at full throttle with barely any countersteer. Don't you see how incredible that is, Keisuke?"

You explained it well for 1 minute.
Honestly this kind of technique is something you're going to stumble upon by yourself if you're trying to go fast and drift at the same time, and can be hard if youre not used to control a slide. So i would recommend people to learn how to drift first, if it was on real life, but on a videogame who cares if you crash

I think that full throttle while drifting only really works in high speed corners, for low speed corners you'll want less throttle unless you want to spin out.

If youre struggling to make your car rotate keep in mind heel and toe downshift is like a clutch kick. It boosts your rpm furthermore your wheel torque and that is really important to utilize.

i tried it and after two days of practise, it works with your setup, but i want to be more slippery on the road, im using 90s tires and defalut setup, with throthle control its very satisfying to acctually clear a corner sliding on all 4 wheels, thanks for the tutorial since i learned the technigue for my car from your video, for all the people wondering what they did wrong, after braking with steering, do a quick 100% throtle and then ease greatly of the gas, alternatively dowland setup in the description :D

I’ve been trying to get better with the 86 in MR:T. Four wheel drift is something I’ve been wanting to practice ever since I started. First tho I needed to learn the course. After a month of trial and error, learning technique, and learning how to tune I’m finally able to practice the four wheel drift. I’ve seen videos on slip angle by another channel, who also helped out a ton, but I found those videos a tiny bit confusing. But I got the general premise after multiple rewatches and practices of my own. I also watched your video a while back as well and I just thought this kind of thing was impossible in MR:T. But now that I got my technique and the track down I’ve been trying to do the four wheel drift, and it completely opened my eyes. It clicked the very first time I did it. And honestly I did it by accident. I guess I forgot what the slip angle/four wheel drift videos even said cos I was just so obsessed with learning all the other techniques. Then after I did it by accident I immediately went back to these videos that I mentioned, including yours, and now I understand. All I needed was a boatload of practice.

As you can tell I’m not very knowledgeable on racing techniques and lines and whatnot. I’ve only vaguely understood them when I played gta racing, and looking back after everything I’ve learned this past month or so that game is barebones when it comes to technique.

Apologies for the long one, this has all just been an awesome experience. But yeah, this video has helped out a ton lol. Thank you 🙏

Adding to this- cars can be tuned to enter the optimal weight balance on turn in, but its tough to nail down.

Wow for a 1 minute video, this explains a LOT. I was having trouble entering drift, turns out I need to "TAP" the brake like what you did here. Also yeeting the wheel definitely helped.

What’s crazy is that they do this in f1 cars too.

It's a great equalizer if you're driving a low hp car since it relies on momentum and not power. Drifted my 100hp FWD work van through the backroads that way, and don't get me started about using this technique on gravel/dirt at any speed (don't do it with expensive tires though)
