Help your own people before you help others. Families from the Lahaina fire are still struggling to find housing. Biden has already announced that California will be 100% funded for the first 180 days. Where was this funding for the Lahaina fires and where was this funding for the Florida and South Carolina floods?

you mean the wealthy Californians can come here and live in a hotel for free? what about all the hawaii homeless that are homeless because the can't afford the high rents. They would like a free hotel room. Is green actually serious?

Subtle way of saying "Please move here." I'm sure a small percentage of these nice wealthy folks will move to Kailua.

Stop being heroes to other states. We should help our own first. We ain't done yet helping Lahaina. Just like Trump with America First, how about Hawaii First for once. C'mon now.

Yeah, who’s gonna pay for this? Hawaii taxpayers gonna split the bill again? You’re putting politics over the needs of the people of this state.

A reciprocation of good will in light of a time when we were in need. Resource utilization? Like how Arizona is extending a metaphorical hand to our burn victims. Perhaps the best way to facilitate collaboration in good will is to extend a hand when a fellow state is in obvious need. Hotel rooms in the form of federally funded secure package seems more like a return on impact than a return on investment.

Lahaina this and Lahaina that. the biggest problem with the Lahaina problem is that most of the displaced wanted to stay in Lahaina or West Maui and there isn't housing stock available and within their budget. snd Green said they could come here and rent our hotel rooms for a very affordable price which is not free but just less than the cost of $400 to $500 per night and those rooms are cutrently sitting empty anyway so what's the problem?
