Being from Nashville, it's bizarre to see that both Germany and Australia have adopted hot chicken. Prince's Hot Chicken supposedly is the original. It used to be located in a strip mall and you'd place your order at a hole in the wall.

I live in Nashville and back 30 years ago had hot chicken 🐓 at Prince's hot chicken the original place that started hot chicken in Nashville. It was very hot only way they made it you couldn't get them to do a milder version. Today Hattie B's is the best place in Nashville they give you milder heat if you don't want extremely hot chicken.

Agreeing with Phil there, the Hot Chicken Sandwich is the top menu item in Hitchcoq. Also the fries are great, my favorite side for the chicken sandwich (Mac and cheese is a good side for afterlife wings though)

As a Texan I've never had a sweet waffle..usually it's just a regular waffle with fried chicken when combined. That's interesting.

Not sure if anyone else had already said this but the Pennsylvania Dutch version is like roasted chicken pieces cooked in gravy and then spooned over top of waffles (and sometimes mashed potatoes spooned on top of the waffle or as a side). It’s delish.

But southern chicken and waffles is on point, too 👌🏻

Chicken and Waffles originated with the Pennsylvania Deutsch in the 1600s. Chicken was placed on the Waffles and Gravey was poured over the top. I live in PA Deutsch Country in PA. The food is very good, however; extremely high in Calories. Another great video. Guten Appetite!!!!👍😉

I went yesterday whilst visiting Düsseldorf on a day out. The chicken sandwich was very enjoyable. There were 5 of us and sampled several dishes. The sandwich was the best for me. Waffles are on only once a month, so we missed this.
