How To Redeem Bilt Points For Max Value (Easy)

In this video, we’re going over how to redeem Bilt Points from the Bilt Mastercard for max value! Points earned from credit card spend using the Bilt Mastercard can be redeemed in a number of ways, but some of these ways are better than others. Because of this, I’m going to walk through which redemption options should be avoided and which ones you should choose.

The best way by far to redeem Bilt Points is for travel by transferring points to other hotel and airline programs. This is usually the best way to redeem points earned from your credit cards, and luckily Bilt Rewards has the best transfer partners in my opinion. By using points earned from the Bilt Mastercard for travel, you can find many ways to potentially get more than double the value of those credit card points compared to other options! I’ll go over a few examples of how to do that in this video.

Overall, the Bilt Mastercard is one of the best credit cards on the market, especially if you’re a renter and looking to earn credit card points on rent payments. Hopefully this guide will be helpful!

CORRECTION: In my example of booking the $243 American Airlines flight through British Airways for 18, 000 points + $5.60, there is actually a better deal. Recently Bilt added Alaska Airlines as a transfer partner (only major points currency to do this) and now they have an even better deal for booking that flight in this example for 12, 500 points + $19. This would be around a 1.79 CPP value (although you'd have to transfer 13, 000 points because transfers must be made in 1, 000 point increments).

Shoutout to @ancientscallion1963 for the comment to point this out!

just transfer 8000 Bilt Points to Alaska and use 7500 to redeem a $580 economy Japan Airlines from Beijing to Tokyo Haneda which is equal to 7.8 cpp!

Definitely an "in the weeds" type of video but VERY informative if you're thinking about, or already have, a BILT card. Thanks for the info

Awesome video Dan! One thing that I would like to point out with your example on the CPP for EWR to Paris, the cash price would be slightly more than then 459. Air France's base far does not include a checked bag, but booking with points does include a checked bag. Therefore if a person would want a bag, it would be beneficial to book with points as the cpp would be much higher. since a one way bag fee/bag ticket is around +$100.

Nice video Daniel. I would also check out Alaska for your Domestic/Caribbean flights since now Alaska is a Transfer partner of BILT, Alaska has one of the best award charts for AA domestic flights. Using the same sample flight one way for Sep 20th, with Alaska miles is only 12k miles + $19 fee Nonstop. With a connecting flight is 7.5k miles +19.

Great video! I just started over on my credit card journey and Bilt was my first card after getting my credit back. There's a lot to the miles and transferring game, so I appreciate the clarity you use to explain it all! Chase is the next card I'm going for, hoping to build some points up before a potential trip to Rome next Summer.

Always appreciate your videos and the informative stuff you talk about. Just a question, can we use the Bilt card on our HOA fees or even property tax?

It's amazing how much value Hyatt transfers can bring, especially since those hotels require the fewest points to book. I'm also curious if Bilt will move into allowing owners to book mortgage payments. Rumor has it may be in the works. Thanks for sharing your knowledge as usual Sir.

Hi Daniel! Can you buy restaurant gift cards on rent day and still earn 6x points? Appreciate your response 🙏🙏🙏

Let's go down to earth with the practicle example. My rent is 2110 per month, the good cpp target is 2.5 cpp, most probably a Hyatt. in this scenario, over the year, i expect to redeem over Hyaat stay something like: 12*2110*2.5/100 = $633. Thank you.

So I want to maximize my Marriott Bonvoy points for a vacation. I know I can transfer Amex points directly to Marriott, but I also have many Capital One / Bilt Points. Can I transfer my Capital one/ Bilt points to a transfer parter (ie Air Canada), and then re- transfer miles from Air Canada to Marriott Points?

awesome info! I'm in process of getting a house next month so you gave me a great idea of using my points towards the down payment! do you think that with all of the news about wells fargo losing a ton of money on this card that they will eventually take it away or devaluate the points? I'm thinking to use it now before any negative changes happen with its points value system 🤔
