In my view it all depends, sometimes watching more instruments would increase your success, that is if you watch the higher time frames to find your trades. The higher time frames will not give you a trade everyday in a single instrument, so if you keep looking at more instruments until you find that higher time frame setup everyday, then it might be better for you. And I mean this for day trading, the confluence with higher time frames to find your trades might give you a higher success.

Exactly!

It helps so much to always know everything your instruments are doing.

So many people are chasing the stock (or trade) of the day, without knowing the stock or instrument. Just chasing, chasing, chasing.

You have to let your trades come to you, with your gameplan prepared.

Then it becomes a really easy game :)

I watched other traders who said the opposite of what you are saying.
and my mentor as well told me never to limit my self to one pair, as the are many instruments to Trade and price action stays relatively the same across all markets.
