Photoscan using Agisoft Metashape

In this VFX fundamentals episode, we take a look at Agisoft MetaShape for capturing a 3d model out of photos. In Visual Effects, we use photoscan to scan objects we take further by using retopology methods or by using the scan as a shadow catcher object. I capture a Michelin tires figure by taking approx 150 images using a Canon 5d mk3 camera. The result is a 3d model with around 700 thousand polygons I later take into Autodesk Maya for inspection.

Great video man! Can i take a video of the object and then extract images form the video with a software to make it easier and maybe have more photograms for better result?
