The CHERISH End of Project Conference was held in the Printworks, Dublin Castle on Tuesday 21 March 2023.
This is a recording of the Welcome Address and Session 1: Understanding Loss.
The welcome address from Minister Malcolm Noonan and Member of Senedd Julie James is followed by initial remarks from CHERISH Project Manager Clare Lancaster, Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historic Monuments of Wales, entitled “The Ambition of CHERISH”.
Session 1 was chaired by Pauline Gleeson from the National Monuments Service.
Paper 1 - Deploying the CHERISH Tool Kit was given by Anthony Corns from CHERISH partner organisation The Discovery Programme (00:27:30).
Paper 2 - Maritime Survey: Seeing Beneath the Waves was given by Kieran Craven who worked on the CHERISH Project from TechWorks Marine (00:38:38).
Paper 3 - Aerial Survey: Documenting Joint-Nation Coastal Heritage from Above was given by Toby Driver from CHERISH partner organisation the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales (00:49:16).
Paper 4 - Scientific Dating and Chronology was given by Geoff Duller from CHERISH partner organisation Aberystwyth University (01:01:36).
Session 1 was concluded with a discussion panel from all who gave papers (01:11:36).
