Viggo is one of those few actors I enjoy watching so much that I'm automatically excited to watch their films before knowing anything else about it. I put him up there with my all time favorites. I would put him just below Daniel Day-Lewis and Gary Oldman (but they're the two greatest actors of all time in my opinion, with DDL #1 so no shame there) but right there with Juaqoin Phoenix, Philip Seymore-Hoffman (RIP), , Robert Deniro and the rest.... Viggo, ---like the rest of the actors I mentioned--- isn't just a phenomenal actor but he truly knows how to pick the right roles! (Unfortunately that no longer applies to Deniro but still lol)

So so we are getting an story about a respected black musician and his newly hired straight forward mindset bodyguard who’s about as refined as toilet paper going to do concerts in the Deep South

So when can I purchase the tickets

I have seven or eight Don Shirley albums and must say that he is one of a kind. His piano playing is not classical, not jazz, not pop, but a mixture of all of these with a distinctive piano touch. I didn't know anything about him hiring a white bodyguard or that he even toured the south. Down Beat never reported anything about this.

Excellent movie. Great acting. Didn't know about the Green Book. I don't think we have gotten much farther sometimes. I still experience discrimination especially when I visited Bar Harbor, Maine.

The most surprising part about this movie is that a Farrelly brother directed it. This is a long way from his "Something About Mary" and "Dumb & Dumber" days.
