Turning off autosave? Autosave is te only thing saving me from losing all the progress when these glitches are happening

if you turn down GPU acceleration it might be more stable but also a lot slower to redraw complicated files. So no it is NOT the solution. The solution is to write the program on a way that it is stable. The solution is unfortunately is in the hands of Adobe

I had at first reinstalled illustrator and updated my graphics card ; didn't work.

I never had any problems with AI until I stumbled uppon a strange PDF that I opened. It made AI crash every time I wanted to move something. This sollution seems to fix this issue. Thank you!

I do not recommend turning off auto save feature, I am working on my project earlier for almost 5 hrs straight when suddenly I am sliding through colors hue (yellow) and AI crashed and it didn't save a single recovery or just a bit of my progress(even empty project file or even the original project file). I am so disappointed, this was the second time it happend to me, 1st luckily I kept that turned on and it crashed mid through, and when I saw your vid I followed your recommendation and here I am.
It happened twice, whenever I am sliding through color yellow, I dont know why. I am using latest Ai cc.

AI kept quoting whenever I tried to use the gradient tool. Tried at least a dozen times. After turning off the gpu as you suggested, it has stayed open. Hope this continues. Thank you.

It worked for me! I had a crashing problem with Illustrator too, I removed the GPU and it worked like magic!

Each time I apply texturizer on an image from Effect>Effect Gallery>Texture>Texturizer and click OK to apply, my AI quietly disappears and I have to restart. Macbook Pro.
I've unclicked GPU but it hasn't helped. Unfortunately.

not work for win 10 AI version 20, i think mac gpu is not compatible when use gpu accelerate, turn off autosave is dangerous because sometimes its randomly crash and not responding.
